I've owned a NEW, SS PLOG about 2 months. No problems with cracking yet. On my 2002 Monte Carlo SS, it is within 2mm of the air-conditioning compressor. Also the heat-sheild must be bent to reinstall. Otherwise an easy 8HP bolt-on.... |

Have had a couple of these. First one I ceramic coated myself and didn't have a problem with cracking, but I didn't check it over before I sold it so I'm not sure if it was cracked.
2nd one was cracked when I bought it. It was the mild steel. I rewelded and sold it.

Installed this a couple of days ago. The six main bolts against the block are the easiest to remove. Just soak in liquid wrench or equivalent and use a wire brush to remove rust and oxidation. My car has only 50,000 miles on it and I broke both of the crossover studs. I suggest ordering them her... |

Pretty easy to install...make sure you have a can of PB Blaster handy though. Exaust is a little bit deeper car pulled a little harder but it wasnt until I put in my 3" catless downpipe later that day that i noticed a huge differance.
